Murder Suspect Lost and Found

For months, Kevin Bodden was wanted for the high profile murder of gang figure Kendis Flowers which occurred in March.

The cops caught him and charged him on the 9th September, but he promptly escaped.

Well, 19 days later, they caught him again on Friday night in the Martin's area. Police told us more:

Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino, C.I.B., Eastern Division
"Mr. Kevin Bodden having been charged for murder, escaped from the Queen Street Police Station. On the 29th September he was recaptured and in police custody. As a result of his escape he was charged for 1 count of escape and during the process of escaping he had damaged a window for the station. So he was additionally charged for damage to property. He was captured in the St. Martin's area of Belize City."

"I know that officers have been disciplinary charged in regards to that matter and those are in front of a tribunal."

25 year old Bodden appeared in court today where he was arraigned on charges of murder, attempted murder, wounding and use of deadly means of harm. He was remanded into custody until December 17.

He is accused of killing Kendis Flowers and injuring Malique Pitts.

According to police Flowers and two other men were in a white van on Mahogany Street when the van was intercepted by a burgundy color car. According to the police, Flowers came out of the van and confronted Bodden who came out of the car. There was an exchange of gunfire between the two which is when both Flowers and Pitts were shot.

Bodden was also charged with escape from lawful custody. He pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared today before Magistrate Khadeem Palmer.
