Two Arrested For Coro Robberies

And police have made major headway in the two daring armed robberies in Corozal. They have laid charges against the robbers. Here are more details.

"In relation to the first issue. On Wednesday last, the owner of Agua Fina water in Corozal, located on G Street, reported that sometime after 8pm, whilst himself and 2 other employees were outside his business place they were approached by 2 male persons; one of whom was armed with a firearm and they were taken inside the business place where they were relieve of monies and other personal belongings."

"As a result, police intensive investigations have led to the arrest of one Lima, 23 years old and he has since been charged for 3 counts of robbery."

"In relation to a second robbery which occurred on the 27th September at Wong Toy Store on 7th Avenue, Corozal Town - police were in the area sometime around 8:50pm when they saw 4 male persons of dark complexion wearing dark clothing running away from the business place. As a result a chase ensued where a police eventually caught up with one of those persons who was identified as Zandon Myers, 23 years old."

"Initial police investigation into this matter revealed that sometime around 8:50pm, 4 male persons of dark complexion, armed, entered the business place, where an undisclosed amount of money was stolen. Quick police investigation into this matter have resulted in the arrest of Zandon Myers, 23 years old, Nigel Gonzalez and Michael Franklin, all for the crimes of robbery."
