One Day Out of Jail Rocky Road Detainee Says Police Harassment Persists
posted (October 4, 2018)

Now, supposedly at that mediation session last night, police told the gangsters to keep the peace - just as it has been kept for the past month - or else.

But one of the detainees today told us that the cops also gave them the assurance that police wouldn't be harassing them if they did keep the peace.

Well, one gang affiliate from Rocky Road who just came out of jail last night - says by this afternoon the police were back at his house pointing a gun in his face:…

Jules Vasquez
"But they told last night they were not going to arrest you."

Voice of – Rocky Road Resident
"They bally still come, knock at my door and I open my door, let's go, let's go, Chester want to see you. They bally want my vehicle, I don't have no vehicle to give them and I have no gun to give them. I don't give in gun bredda and I don't have no gun to give them."

Jules Vasquez
"So when you wake up just now..?"

Voice of – Rocky Road Resident
"Let's go, Chester want to see you. Chester want to see me for what bredda? What is the problem? I'm tired of them, for real I'm tired of them bredda."

He also told us what it was like being detained under the state of emergency:..

Voice of – Rocky Road Resident
"ADSEG. ADSEG we mi deh but everything straight. They deal with we alright, Murillo straight dig, he straight bredda. I thank the man you dig? Yes man, he straight."

Jules Vasquez
"You think man and man will hold it down out here now?"

Voice of – Rocky Road Resident
"Yeah of course. Watch ya, back there is rough, back of jail rough bredda."

Police are apparently trying to gather evidence on a murder suspect who is friendly to our interviewee.   He has been detained without charge since last week.
