Some Clues On Bones In Belmopan
posted (October 8, 2018)
On Friday we told you about the scattering of bones found near the sewerage treatment plant in Belmopan.

Since then, police have gotten some clues as to the identity, but nothing definitive:..

ACP Joseph Myvett- Head of NCIB
"The forensic people did inspect these bones and they have confirmed that they belong to a human, male, which seemingly was dead between two to three months. Further searches are still being conducted in the area. It is my understanding that the main area where this was found, all the different man-holes are connected to this specific area where the sewage is connected."

Jules Vasquez- Reporter
"So, it may be a case of what is called effluent discharge from the sewage system? Like it may have originated somewhere else?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"Yes, we are of that opinion."

Jules Vasquez
"Now, do the remains match any known missing person's reports?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"No, not as yet but we are looking at that. However, the bones found there were no signs of injury in any of those. At the same time too we are looking at all the different areas that lead to that area. Searches were done, as well, on Saturday in some of those areas."
