OW Murder Suspect Turns Himself Into Police
posted (October 12, 2018)
Last night, you saw the news on yesterday's brazen, daylight execution of 21 year-old Jose Medina. He was shot and killed a short distance from his home.

He was a wanted man in the streets who was trying to lay low, but at around 11 o'clock yesterday morning, a gunman ambushed him while he was walking home with his girlfriend. He was shot multiple times to the head and chest, and died on the scene. Luna was injured to the abdomen and was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital for emergency treatment.

A post-mortem examination was conducted on Medina, and it certified that he died due to those multiple gunshots to the head and chest.

Immediately after the shooting, police began a manhunt for their main suspect, and news went out this morning that a man, whose identity we cannot reveal at this time, showed up to the Orange Walk Police Station. In the presence of his attorney, he handed himself in, and at this time, he's being investigated for Medina's murder.

Police said, quote, "The matter is under investigation, therefore person or persons will and may be detained during the investigation process, however, only when police secure charge or charges will name and identity will be released."

Residents believe that all the recent shootings and murders in Orange Walk Town are as a result of an internal feud in a gang in Orange Walk that calls themselves the "Baka Town Gang". We've seen a recent facebook post in which a man has made wholesale death threats against all the affiliates of this group.
