Taiwan Lining Up to Pay for Another MOFA Bldg.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs team will get a brand new office building in Belmopan courtesy the Taiwanese Embassy. Minister Wilfred Elrington got to see the drawings today . In a release it describes the building as "20,000 gross square footage. It continues by saying "The building will be constructed to be fully-accessible and will have the ability for future expansion in its structural design. The structure should withstand hurricane force winds in excess of 150 miles per hour and will serve as a shelter for staff and foreign diplomatic agents in times of emergency." The building is expected to be completed between six to nine months.

This is the second building that the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is gifting to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
