Rosado Accused Of Lobster Fishing Without License

Jaime Enrique Rosado, a tour guide from Traveller’s Palm Street in Caye Caulker, is facing several fisheries offenses after the Fisheries Department busted him with undersized lobsters.

The Fisheries Department says that on May 22nd, 2018, fisheries officers went to Caye Caulker, and they found Rosado with 33 lobsters. He didn’t have a fishing licenses, and so the officers arrested and charged him with possession of lobsters during a closed season, possession of 24 undersized lobsters, possession of 2 lobsters with soft shell, and engaging in commercial fishing whilst not being the holder of a valid fisherman’s license. 

He was arraigned today before Magistrate Emerson Banner, and he pleaded not guilty to all offenses. He was released on bail $1,500, and he must return to court on November 20th.
