Felina James Found Dead; Police Say She Was Chopped To Death
posted (October 19, 2018)
Last night Felina James' family got the worst news- her decomposed body was found on the coastal road. Her throat had been slashed and the 36 year old mother of two was left in the bushes to rot. I spoke to her distraught aunt about her niece's brutal murder. Here is that story.

Voice of: Lydia Bolon, Aunt
"You got what you wanted, you killed my niece, you killed her! I don't care who you are or where you are or what you are doing right now, God is above."

A direct message to Felina James' killer - her family overcome by anger and anguish.

Last night after 7:00, James' decomposed body was found on the coastal road, about 2 miles in.

Police rushed James' body to Burrell Boom where the autopsy was done this morning. The family says the results show that someone slit James' throat - a tragic end for a mother of two.

Now the family is left puzzled, wondering what could have led to her gruesome death. What is known so far is that the morning of Thursday the 11th, James left her two sons with her babysitter on Thurton Lane in Belize City. According to the babysitter, James told her that she was going to get a vehicle fixed and she would be back to pick up the kids.

Lydia Bolon, Aunt
"She only brought several clothes and she was going to the mechanic because accordingly she showed the sitter the parts for the vehicle she was going to fix."

"According to the sitter she was going to a funeral on Friday at 10:00 and she told Margaret to be here before 10:00 because she was going to the funeral."

But James never returned. Since then the family had been trying to locate her. The first clue was found in Belmopan on Wednesday. City Council workers found James' ID cards thrown in the grass near the Lands Department.

Then to her body found last night. James' aunt says the only person who can help them connect the dots in James' murder is her brother but he hasn't been much help.

Lydia Bolon, Aunt
"Her brother, her only surviving brother is not around. He has not made the report. It took the babysitter to make the report so I am really concerned about what went wrong with those two because has not showed up to say when he last saw his sister or what."

Courtney Weatherburne, reporter
"Was he the last person to see her?"

Lydia Bolon, Aunt
"At Sarteneja accordingly because what I heard is that they live in Sarteneja so."

"This morning on the scene, we called him last night but like he is not responding, like he didn't care like you know."

So at this point, the family has no clear answers - and it is just as unclear what will happen to James' two young sons.

Lydia Bolon, Aunt
"Her children are here that will miss her and now the children are separated because they are two different fathers the oldest one went with his dad and the baby is with the sitter, it hurts that these children will go through their lives without a mother so, hopefully a family member can get the baby. That's all I pray for, and I pray that justice be done to whoever did this to niece, justice will be given to us. It hurts, they never know, they don't feel how painful this is for all of us."

Information so far is that James' Kia Sorrento is still missing. Police are still trying to piece together what exactly happened in this case. James leaves behind two sons - one age 9, the other is 2 years old.
