Martinez - who won the division by a margin of almost 1500 with 74% of the votes in 2008, merely squeaked by with 48% of the vote and by a margin of 76 ballots in 2015.

"I have no response to that. I have no response to that question other than to say that I know one king and that is my god. I have no need for earthly kings."

"Sir, but I am saying these are your supporters talking. There is a lot of antipathy for Mr. Martinez."

"I think because they said it they are hurting and I wouldn't want them to get upset with me but that is the general reality on the ground and the sentiment. And I apologize for that."

"Yes but shouldn't he take a humble approach and say, 'alright, I understand I am their representative but whoever wins I do have to work with them because yes, I am a representative but I am on my way out, I am a lame duck.'"
