A 16 year old girl is lucky to be alive after last night's motorcycle accident. As we told you, it happened after 6:00 at mile three and a half on the western highway, before the Coast Guard junction. The teenaged 8 miles resident Asheria Bethran was on the back of a motorcycle with her friend. He was going to give her a ride home after he got from work. But he had to head into the city to get money for gas first and that is when they collided into a man on a bicycle. The motorcycle slid across the highway pinning her under it. The skin on her arm and leg was badly peeled. Bethran got up and the other men were thrown on the road and bush. Here is her account.
Asheria Bethran - Accident Victim
"When we were coming from up the road like coming down to Belize together and he was like - I turn my back to just to look to see if I see a vehicle the come behind me but same time he the check to see if the light is in the front. So by the time I turn around to say, I turn my face and I just hear bang and we just skate and the boy gong into the bushes. I get up and when I conscious I start bawl, somebody please help me. The boy that was in the green shirt, he was in a pale green shirt so we didn't see him on the road."

"So you see the bally in the green shirt, he was on the ground too?"
Asheria Bethran
"Yeah like his back or something was broken or his lungs. Something was wrong with he because he was in the bush."
Courtney Weatherburne
"He was flung in the bushes?"
Asheria Bethran
"That was a horrible scene because first time I get in an accident so, it kind of frightening, it still traumatizing because when I close my eyes, I could still remember that it's right so we got bang right so. I just the advice anybody no go on a cycle because it doesn't make no sense."
Courtney Weatherburne
"You guys didn't have any helmets either."
Asheria Bethran
"He never had no helmet and to be honest he was drinking."
