And despite the sargassum situation, tourism figures continue to show strong growth. At the end of the third quarter, the BTB reports that there was a 16.6% and 19.9% growth in overnight and cruise ship arrivals.
In September 2018, over 21,000 overnight visitors arrived in Belize - that's 10% mroe than the same month last year.
As for cruise arrivals, in September 2018, over 66,000 cruise ship passengers visited Belize. This represented an increase of 16% when compared to September 2017.
