But while the University gets it's finances in order, it still has to continue to ‘transition' as Sankat puts it. Today he announced the launch of UB's first music program.

"The faculty of education and arts is developing a program in music. In fact, the University of Belize has just hired its first lecturer in music to be full time and to help build and drive this program. So change is occurring and hopefully for the better."
