"The last time we had spoken to - I believe it was Mr. Cowo, if I'm not mistaken, he had explained to us that police encountered remnants of a vehicle at a chop shop in Stann Creek, on the Valley Road, I think he said, and that police were in the process of trying to determine if this was her missing vehicle. Have you been able to confirm that it is or isn't?"

Inspector Wilfredo Ferrufino
"Well, I do know that certain parts of the vehicle were taken to I believe it was Customs. I think they have a process which they use to see if they can get the VIN number."

Deputy Commissioner Chester Williams has since confirmed to the press that police have confirmed that this destroyed vehicle belonged to Felina James. They were able to do so by matching the vin number on the remains of this SUV recovered in Stann Creek, and the vin number on file for James's Kia Sorrento.
