An off duty police officer from San Pedro punched a female in her right eye. She got into an altercation with two other females. Police have since charged WPC Stephanie Patten with wounding and harm. The Head of National Crimes Investigation told us more.

"Police responded to information on the 1st of November sometime around 2:30 AM at a night establishment in Orange Walk, where one Seleni Mai reported to them that whilst she was in the company of one Fransica Banio, they had an altercation with another female who we later learnt to be a police officer, one WPC Stephanie Patten. As a result of the altercation, both Ms. Mai and Ms. Banio received injuries upon the police arrival in an attempt to detain the woman police who was in civilian clothing as off duty, she's attached to the San Pedro police station and not Orange Walk. An investigation was carried out into the matter and WPC Patten has since been arrested and charged for one count of wounding, one count of damage to property and two counts of harm."
