Sinister Criminal Forces Moving on Coastal
posted (November 12, 2018)
Two weeks ago police made a bust of a thousand pounds of cocaine on a runway off the Coastal Road. It was waiting to be transferred - most likely to an aircraft that circled but never landed.

So, the Coastal Road and its environs are known to be used by drug traffickers. And that was reinforced yesterday at midday when a two man police patrol came upon a small army of outlaws. They were northbound from Dangriga. The Head of National crimes Investigation told the media what happened next:...

ACP Joseph Myvette- Head of NCIB
"On yesterday's date sometime around 12 midday police were conducting patrols on the Coastal Road and during their patrol they came across a vehicle which was travelling in the same direction a little ahead of their vehicle. In the process of driving behind the vehicle for a little while the vehicle sped-off into and off-road; as a result, the police pursued the vehicle. Near the seas-side, in the white ridge area, the occupants of the vehicle alighted and made good their escape. The officers on the scene reported as much as six or seven heavily armed men. Backup was requested and the entire area was searched where an assault type rifle along with two magazines containing a total of forty-seven .223 rounds were found in the area. One blue Ford Explorer without license plates has also been impounded as part of this investigation. Police are seeking one known suspect for questioning in relation to this incident."

Jules Vasquez- Reporter
"With regards to the suspects, how did they appear? What was their physical appearance?"

ACP Joseph Myvette
"They were all dressed in black and heavily armed according to the officers who were in pursuit."

Jules Vasquez
"Ethnicity?"

ACP Joseph Myvette
"Dark complexion."

Jules Vasquez
"Now, you all have recovered this heavily tinted vehicle?"

ACP Joseph Myvette
"Yes, we have."

Jules Vasquez
"Are you able to say, if you have checked the registration, is it a Belizean licensing, etcetera?"

ACP Joseph Myvette
"Yes, it is and that is the reason why we are seeking one named suspect in relation to the investigation."

Jules Vasquez
"Why was this heavily armed, illegal outfit in this area?"

ACP Joseph Myvette
"Well, that is the same thing we are trying to determine through our investigation."

As you heard police have a suspect, but he hasn't been found yet. We're reliably informed that he is a former police officer.
