posted (November 16, 2018)
After a two day teacher sit out, things returned to normal at the Orange Walk ITVET. That's after the teachers got word from Ministry of Education officials that chronic delays in paying salary would be resolved. Luis Ramos - the spokesperson for all 15 teachers told CTV-3 what assurance they got:..

Luis Ramos - OW ITVET Staff Spokesperson
"This morning we got a call from the upper management officials in the Ministry of Education and their response is very favorable on our side and because of that we have live to our commitment that we are going back into class. So at this point all of our students are back into the classroom. The burning issues was the salaries and that is dealt with. There were other issues and those are in process and I am happy to state that we have even have the commitment of the deputy prime minister vesting our school, which is a good sign."

300 + students are enrolled at the Orange Walk ITVET.
