Man Shot At Much Targeted Home
posted (November 20, 2018)
2 hours before the murder of Eric Staine, police were called to respond to a shooting which happened not far from this murder scene on Neal Penn Road.

At around, 8:15 on Sunday night, 18 year-old Stephan Tablada was about to enter his house when about 6 or so gunshots rang out. He told police that he saw who the shooter was while the gunman and his accomplice were trying to speed off on a motorcycle. He later realized that one of the gunshots had hit him in the right calf.

Police told us more today:

Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino - CIB
"On the 18th of November, sometime around 8:15 p.m., CIB personnel visited the KHMH, and there they found. Mr. Stephan Tablada, an 18 year-old of Neals Penn Road. He was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the right calf. Investigations from police indicated that Mr. Tablada was socializing at the basketball court on Neals Penn Road, and was making his way - or was at his residence, making his way inside, when he heard several shots, several loud bangs, which he thought were gunshots. Upon looking in the direction of the streets, he noticed that there were 2 individuals on a motorcycle, and upon seeing them, they sped off, and he then realized that he was injured - or was shot. He indicated to police that he recognized both individuals, and police are seeking those 2 individuals."

Reporter
"Sir, Mr. Tablada's residence is listed at #95 Neals Penn, which is the same address listed by Mr. Leslie, who was shot a while back, a week or so ago. Could you all say if this is gang related."

Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino
"Well, we are looking into it. We know that they are related. I think he is the nephew of Mr. Leslie."

As you heard, Tablada's uncle, 24 year-old Damien Leslie, was the target of separate shooting, which occurred almost 2 weeks ago at the same address when he was grazed to the neck.
