American Misjudged Road, Washed Off Into Rolling Waters
posted (November 20, 2018)
70 year old American Jack Turner is lucky to be alive after his vehicle was washed off the road in Buena Vista, Cayo last night.

Turner was trying to cross a flooded area on the road in his Jeep Liberty. But it seems he misjudged and his jeep capsized and fell into the creek. Residents rushed to his aid and rescued him before he drowned. Today we spoke to the Buena Vista chairman about the incident.

Juan Antonio de la Rosa, Chairman, Buena Vista
"This man did not calculate the center and he went too much to the edge and he went into the water. There were persons who were telling him to stay in the center but he wasn't careful and he fell in the creek and the persons there helped him, they opened the door and took him out of the creek. The vehicle was already under water but they rescued him."

"The water was high?"

Juan Antonio de la Rosa, Chairman, Buena Vista
"Yes it was high, and the water was over the bridge but he decided to pass I don't know why."

"The cars were passing but his problem he went too much to the edge. That was the problem because other vehicle passed, a high car could pass fine and other small cars passed just fine."

Turner owns a farm in an area 2 miles outside Buena Vista.
