The PM had to lean on a nearby doorframe, but he took all our questions including one more about his law firm's involvement with the Sitee River Wildlife Preserve. That private NGO is named in a civil complaint by the US Federal Trade Commission as being associated with the massive Sanctuary Belize real estate scam. The Prime Minister said they are entitled to a defense:

"I know you dont make decisions for Barrow and Williams, the firm that has your name on the masthead, but I saw them in court after the civil complaint has been lodge - Ms. Lizette Stain from Barrow and Williams for the Sittee River Wildlife Reserve appearing for. Is that a a concern that you have, the reputational risk of the continued association with an associated group to Sanctuary Belize?"

"None whatsoever. I believe we take the position, I certainly do, that Atlantic International Bank Ltd., is innocent. That is the presumption that our law which a kin to US law affords and that goes for all the entities individuals, companies that are part of the complaint which includes Atlantic International Bank Ltd. They are all entitled to a presentation in their effort to establish their innocence or lack of liability and if Barrow and Williams represents one of those entities, that is in the normal course of their profession."
