posted (November 26, 2018)
A man and a teenager were charged with aggravated burglary today before Magistrate Emerson Banner. He is 28 year old Glenford Diego and the boy is 16 years old boy. They pleaded not guilty to the charge. They were remanded into custody until January 28, 2019. The incident happened on November 23rd at the Lord's Bank home of former Fire Chief Henry Baizar. His wife, Carolyn Baizar, reported to the police that as she was coming out of her front door, a masked man came running from behind the house with an object in his hand that resembled a firearm. She said the man grabbed her blouse and tried to pull her inside her house but she grabbed on to the metal gate and that prevented the man from getting her inside. She said she ran out into the street and hollered for help when she saw another person armed with a firearm coming from behind the house. The police came but the men had already ran off. She said that when she checked her house nothing was missing. Police later detained Diego and the boy and charged them. A third person was involved in the incident but he was not apprehended.
