No Sign of Orange Walk Elderly Woman

An elderly Orange Walk woman is missing and her family is very worried for her safety. 68 year-old Marta Gonzalez travelled to the Stann Creek District to conduct business and hasn't returned home.

Her 37 year-old son told police that she left home in San Felipe Village last week Friday to sell cheese in Dangriga, but up until today, they haven't heard anything from her.

Here's what police had to say today about her case:

"On the 25th November one Ramiro Ishpeck visited the Orange Walk Police Station where he reported that his mother, one Martha Gonzalez, 68 years Naturalized Belizean, of San Felipe Village, who depart her home on 23rd of November, enroute to Dangriga to sell cheese. Up to the time of him making the report, she was not heard from. As result, hence the report. Police are investigating this matter. All information messages have been sent, and we are seeking information which can lead to identifying where she is at this time."

"We were also informed that this is not the first time. She had made several trips to that area in order to conduct sales."

Anyone with information about Gonzalez's whereabouts is asked to call the nearest police station.
