"Yes there was a fatal traffic accident in San Victor Village on Saturday. Corozal police responded to San Victor Village shortly after 7 pm on Saturday where, upon arrival, they observed a red Toyota van being driven by one Jose Coc, 27 years of San Narciso Village. Coc reported that, whilst enroute to San Narciso Village, a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction swerved into his lane causing a head on collision. At the time the motorcycle was driven by one Samuel Gonzalez, 36 years of San Jose Village Orange Walk and he was accompanied by Jose Baccab, 29 years also of San Jose Village. According to the information, Jose Baccab died at the scene whilst Gonzalez died whilst being transported to the Corozal Community Hospital."
Myvett says alcohol samples will be drawn posthumously to see if alcohol was a factor.
