Ascenthium Ascending
posted (December 4, 2018)
If you've been following the local underground rock and metal music scene, you’ll definitely know about the rock band, Ascenthium.

They're a group of 6 Belizean musicians based mostly in San Ignacio, Cayo who specialize in rock and heavy metal music. Now, their preferred genre of music wouldn't be considered mainstream with most of our older viewers - and it's not Punta, but - that doesn't make it less Belizean. So, if you're open to different kinds of music, you'll definitely be able to appreciate the mastery that Ascenthium has been able to achieve in the 9 years that the band has been practicing and performing.

They're now ready turn this artistic venture into a fully sustainable commercial enterprise, and to do this, they’re in the midst of a rebranding effort. That includes working with the video production company, Ignite Limited, and yesterday, they were at the Civic Center in Belize shooting their electronic press kit. It's a series of videos showing the band in action, for easy accessibility to those club and venue owners who may want to hire them for different rock shows.

They invited the press for this shoot, which was set up as a sort of video recorded jam session. 7News stopped by to find out how they want to grow their fan base in both Belize and abroad. Here's what their publicist had to say about their push for commercial success:

The members of Ascenthium include John Hoy, the lead vocalist; Dina Halsall, the bassist; and the brothers, Christian and Cesar Gonzalez on guitar; their third brother, Guido Gonzalez as the drummer; and Jorge Auditore on the keyboard.
