Speaker of the house, Laura Tucker- Longsworth, recently attended the 36th Session of the African Caribbean Pacific - European Union (ACP-EU) Joint Parliamentary Assembly in Cotonou, Benin.
According to an official release, during the November 28th to 30th meeting, she updated the Assmebly on the Belize-Guatemala process along with the latest developments on Belize's preparations for its referendum in April 2019.
Then, from the 3rd to 5th of December 2018, Speaker Longsworth attended the 36th Session of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly. Parliamentarians and their EU counterparts discussed various topics including ACP-EU relations post-2020 and the implications and preparations surrounding a possible BREXIT.
