It's been 4 days now since 23 year-old Anisha Young went missing, and her family is gravely concerned about her wellbeing tonight. They're hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.
As we've reported, she attended her staff Christmas Party on Saturday night, and after that, she went to Sit and Sip with her boyfriend and other friends. Several hours later, they all left in a taxi which dropped off her friends first, and then, the driver took her and her boyfriend home. Since then, nobody has seen or heard from her, and due to an ominous call that her family received, they began organizing search parties to look for her. Every day since, they've been going out for most of the daylight hours in the hopes of finding her alive. And with no kind of luck, their hope is starting to dwindle.
This evening, we found them off mile 8 on the George Price diligently searching in the bushes, and her cousins told us that they need the rest of the community to come out and help them cover more ground:
Late breaking reports are that since the start of our newscast, a big crowd, made up of her family members and friends are assembled in front of the Queen Street. They're agitated and claiming that police are not doing enough to help them find Anisha. We're also told that they are upset that Anisha's boyfriend, who they believe to should be treated as the prime suspect in her disappearance, is being released from police custody.
And while they are criticizing police for not doing enough, we're informed that investigators have detained another suspect for questioning.
Our team is just back from that angry gathering and we'll show you that coming up in our next segment.
