And while Public's Supermarket is spreading a little Christmas cheer to police, Crystal Auto Rental wants to give one an NGO a brand new ride.
As we told you on Friday, the company won a pickup truck in a giveaway raffle from the Caribbean Tires and Motors. Since they're an auto rental company with a vast fleet, they don't exactly need a new vehicle, so they want to give it way to an NGO who can get more use out of it.
The General Manager of the company told us more about the initiative today:

"It has always been a long standing tradition with Crystal Auto Rental to care about the country and to give back to the community. We recently - like you said - won a Wingle pickup truck from the Caribbean Tire raffle give-away. And what we are doing is that we're inviting all the NGO's, the charitable organizations, to send us a request explaining how the truck would benefit them, and how it will benefit the country of Belize. And the winner will be announced on January 31st, 2019."
"We do have a lot of organizations that need transportation in order for them to carry out their work. They need to be able to go where they have to go, and take whatever they need to take. So, it's just our way of giving back to the country, and showing how we care about the country of Belize."
Representatives of interested NGO's can visit their website at www.crystal-belize.com for instructions how to submit their request, and explain how this donation would benefit their organization and Belize.
