Alleged Armed Robber Remanded
posted (December 13, 2018)

Tonight, 26 year-old Jeremy Mushlar, a labourer of Raccoon Street in Belize City, is at the Belize Central Prison after he was taken to court for robbing a water truck, and then shooting at the cops who responded to the robbery.

Police say that on Tuesday, December 11th, Mushlar and another man attempted to rob the employees of Energy Purified Water and Ice company from Orange Walk.

Today, at the police press briefing, ASP Cowo shared more details on the case - including the multiple gunshots fired:

Mushlar was arraigned today before Magistrate Emmerson Banner on 1 count of robbery upon Carlos Triminio, one count of aggravated assault upon Police Constable Dayne Palacio, one count of wounding against Triminio, and one count of use of deadly means of harm, also against Triminio.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges, and because the crime was committed with a firearm, he was not granted bail. He has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison Until February 8th, 2019.
