Tonight, the Ministry of Health and BAHA have issued a food advisory for a Del Monte product called "Fiesta Corn Seasoned with Red and Green Peppers." No one has gotten sick - but Del Monte has recalled more than sixty thousand cases of the product quote, "due to under-processing which could lead to life-threatening illness if consumed."
The news is that the local agent for Del Monte, Price Premier Products has reportedly recalled a number of boxes that fall within the recall batch.
And that's after Del Monte international listed 12 countries, including Belize, which may have received the product batch.
So, If distributors, retail outlets or consumers have any product with the codes and "Best if Used By" dates listed, they should take it down from the shelves, and you definitely should not consume it.
