A mother and son from Lords Bank Village were robbed at gunpoint last night. Sophia Lamb, a 36 year-old resident of Old Well Road in the village, reported to police that she was walking on a street when she was approached by a fair complexioned man. That person pulled out a firearm, pointed it at them, and demanded that they hand over all their money to him. Fearing for her and her son's life, Lamb complied, and she handed over her purse, which contained her cellular phone, an undisclosed quantity of cash, and other personal belongings. That man then fled the area and escaped with the stolen loot.
Police say that they investigating this incident.
