Lord’s Bank Resident Stole Tools
posted (December 19, 2018)
45 year-old Leopold Stevens, a resident of Lords Bank Village, is at the Belize Central Prison after being accused of breaking into a man's office and stealing tools that he was storing inside.

Hugh Kennedy Crawford reported to police that on October 30th, someone broke into his office at the Ladyville BWS branch. The thief then helped himself to a skill saw, a measuring tape, 2 saw blades, 1 Lasko fan and 4 pairs of goggles, all to a total value of several hundred dollars.

Police investigated his report, and they eventually charged Stevens with burglary. He was arraigned before Magistrate Emerson Banner today. He pleaded not guilty, and he was offered bail of $5,000. The problem is that when the court checked their records, they realized that Stevens has a previous court fine, which he hasn't paid. Because of this, he was remanded to prison, and his case has been adjourned until January 28th, 2019.
