Anisha's Family confident New Leader Will Take Them To Her Body
posted (December 21, 2018)

Tonight Anisha Young's family is preparing for another search on Sunday. As we told you, activist Jose Uk Espat is now leading the search and doing his own private investigation.

Well, he claims he has made major headway. Although he doesn't want to get into too much detail at this time, he says he has established the motive and has evidence to back it up. The family also has high hopes that they will find her body on Sunday. Espat and the family called us over to meet them at Princess to give an update. Here is more

Jose Espat - Search Party Leader
"At the beginning, we had two possible motives. We had been doing the initial investigation based on what the family has investigated and myself. We have gotten very very serious leads; at this point we have gotten enough information to narrow it down, and when I say information, I mean with evidence as well. Camera footage, you know, I can't say details of it, but we have camera footage. We have been tracing several numbers, we have gotten phone records, we have gotten placements of phones at certain BTL towers. We have been doing some serious work."

Reporter
"Have you all informed the police of all the information that you guys have gotten?"

Jose Espat
"We have informed them of basically what we could give them because we must be careful in terms of how we approach certain situations. Because one false step could blow the whole chance of finding or recovering Anisha. So, at this point, for me, the importance of recovering and finding her far much outweighs the importance of finding who did it, or probably sending the person to jail. That's not my thing, that's the police job. My thingsmy issue here is to give the family some closure."

Sheree Salgado - Cousin
"So with that, on Sunday we move out to the location to see. We're not saying that it's 100%, you know, but I try, it's best we try and see what we come up with. We are very emotional; this is my aunt, she had raised Anisha from she was a baby and to look at my aunt and see what she's going through is a really...it's really nerve wrecking for me, you know, as her niece."

Sandra Hyde - Grandmother
"I can't go on; she's out there, she's my baby and I don't know where she is. *cries* I can't eat; only because Iâ€Ëœm a God-fearing woman and I go by God's grace. But for myself, I can't."

Sheree Salgado
"We're just pleading to the public on Sunday, to please, we're begging you guys too. We know that it's two days before Christmas and we know that a lot of preparations and shopping is happening, so we are begging you guys to please come out and help us. We have a good lead to where, but we need man power. We're calling in the BDF, we're calling on everybody to please come out and help us with this search."

The search party leaves at 7:30 from the family residence at 12 Lindos Alley. The family is asking for assistance to search. Espat says he doesn't want to compromise the search by disclosing the location. He doesn't want to reveal the suspected motive at this time either. About 20 to 25 officers will accompany the search party. We will keep following this case closely.
