Grammy Winner Joss Stone in Belize For Unplugged Show (UPDATE)
posted (December 21, 2018)

Grammy award winning Singer Joss Stone landed in Belize yesterday and this morning we met her giving out toys with Music Ambassador and politician Shyne Barrow.  Now there aren't a whole lot of world famous international performers who pass through here - and seeing her in a tiny constituency office giving out toys to kids made it even more disorientating.

And that's why, even though you may not know Joss Stone - or be familiar with her music - you may want to check this free spirit out in concert tonight after you hear what she's about:

And that easy going approach landed her today in the Mesopotamia division at Standard Bearer Shyne Barrow's political office giving out two thousand toys to constituency kids.  She told us why:

Shyne Barrow - Mesop. Std. Bearer
"I wasn't evening thinking that I'm going to use Joss Stone to come out and give out toys for my community because the toys alone is commanding, I don't need to buttress it with the Grammy Award winning singer. Based on Joss schedule I was the only one available at 10 AM, it was just the way the universe orchestrated it. So she willingly and warmly has accompanied me in giving out the toys."

Jules Vasquez
"Your now on Amarah Avenue giving out toys with politician."

Joss Stone - Performer
"Yeah isn't it funny? It's funny because most politicians aren't anything like Shyne, they're normally like suited and booted but it's nice to meet somebody that's part of politics that is actually like good and real and normal in a way."

Shyne Barrow
"There is a relation there in the sense of I could still be chasing the ghost of Shyne and still be out here holding money to my ears and popping bottles and making it rain in eruptions but rather I'm giving back. Same thing that Joss is doing because what people don't realize with Joss as entertainers and people who enjoy this massive success, there has to be some return to the universe for that."

Joss Stone's unplugged concert at the Civic Center Signature Lounge starts tonight at 9:00.  As you heard, it's ten dollars for general and thirty dollars for VIP.
