"On Monday, 24th December 2018, at about 12:45am, Dangriga police visit the Western Regional Hospital where they observed Mr. Alvin Lopez, 45 year old Belizean who was suffering from apparent gunshot wound to the upper knee. Initial police investigation is that Mr. Lopez was inside his house along with other family members when he heard a noise. Shortly after that he heard a barrage of shots being fired and thereafter realized he was injured. Police arrived at the scene and transported him at the hospital where he was discharged this morning."
