As you may recall, PC Osborne Martinez was killed while on duty in November of this year. His six children were left without a father - and now that Christmas is here, his family feels his loss strongly.
And so, today, the police department stepped in to give them a little boost and support at Christmas as they greive and moun the loss of their breadwinner. Here's more from that event.
PC Martinez had many plans for his family this Christmas, so the imprint of grief is deep. His mother and aunt told us more about how the family is feeling.
These gifts were made possible by Regional Commander Robert Mariano along with the Police Department, Hon. Tracy Taegar-Panton and various businesses. The police also plan to do more events like this and create programs to honor other deceased officers.
