Cop Crashes in Camalote
posted (December 31, 2018)
We've already told you about two weekend fatalities. The weekend's third major accident happened on Saturday evening on the George Price Highway. It involved a police officer on a motorcycle. ASP Cowo told us that the cop survived a head-on collision with a pick-up truck:

ASP Alejandro Cowo - OC, CIB Belize City
"On Saturday, 29th of December, 2018, at about 6:40 p.m., Roaring Creek Police visited Camalote Village, where they observed a black Wingle pickup, and also a black motorcycle. And also beside the motorcycle, they found a police officer wearing his #1 uniform, suffering from many abrasions, and a left broken leg. What police gathered so far is that the police officer was driving en route from Roaring Creek towards the San Ignacio area, and upon reaching the Camalote area, he overtook a vehicle, and there he ran into the Great Wall Wingle that was coming from San Ignacio towards the Roaring Creek area. As a result, the motorcycle was severely damaged, and he sustained several injuries. He was transported to the Belmopan hospital, and thereafter, to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. The driver of the black Wingle pickup, Miss Priscilla Budna, she sustained minor injuries, and her vehicle was also extensively damaged. She was issued with an NIP and also, samples were taken from her."
