Prelude to Man’s Murder Was Women In Knife Fight
posted (January 2, 2019)
As you heard, police suspect that Preston Reynold's Jr. was murdered as a consequence of a dispute he had hours before. Well, that case went to the Magistrate's Court today.

It involves 36 year-old Therese Elijio Young, a housewife of Neal Penn Road, who was accused by Reynolds' common-law wife, Tanisha Knox, of pulling a knife and then slashing her on the hand.

Knox says that at around 10:30 a.m. yesterday, she went to visit Reynolds on Neal Penn Road. That's when Young allegedly confronted her and insulted her. She said that Young left, and returned about 10 minutes later, and demanded that she come outside. When she did, Young pulled out a knife from her purse, and they started to fight. During that struggle, Young allegedly slashed Knox on her right hand with a knife.

Police arrested and charged Young with wounding, and she was arraigned today before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford. She tried to plead guilty to the offense, but when she told the court that Knox was the one who attacked her first, the magistrate entered her into an equivocal not-guilty plea. She was released on bail of $800, and she must return to court on March 13th, 2019.

As we noted, this incident happened hours before Reynolds was shot and killed.
