posted (January 8, 2019)
Earlier in the news, we showed you our interview with Police Commissioner Chester Williams, in which he discussed the about turn in the criminal prosecution of the 2 officers caught on camera brutalizing in a civilian. He also gave us an update on another case involving corrupt cops.

That's the April 2017 case where three Special Patrol Unit officers stole 27 parcels of cocaine from a house they were searching in Cayo. The officers are Corporal Clinton Thomas and Police Constables Kishane Peck and Albert Augustine. Well, that case has concluded and these men have been dismissed. Here is more.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"If you recall the three police officers who were charged with the cocaine that went missing, they went and searched a house in San Ignacio and they allegedly found some drugs and it never did reach the police station. You would have recalled when I was at professional standards branch we had moved with that investigation, the three officers were placed on disciplinary charges for neglect of duty and prejudice to good order and discipline. The tribunal in respect of that matter concluded and the officers were convicted in the tribunal and the adjudicator had recommend their dismissal from the department."

"We received the Solicitor General's response in respect to that matter last week Friday and the Sol Gen has agreed that the dismissal of the officers is well within the scope of the law and due process was followed so we have since moved and dismissed those three officers from the department."

The parcels of cocaine were never recovered.
