Pair of Robberies In City

Thankfully, there are no murders to report from the weekend, but the city was not crime free. In today's press briefing CIB's ASP Alejandro Cowo told us about a couple robberies.

"We had two robberies. The first one occurred on Friday. It was just about 2:30pm when Mr. Dennis Arragossa an employee of Cisco was about to enter his residence at number 5 Bocotora Street when he was approached by a male person who placed a gun at him and demanded to hand over his belongings. As a result he handed over a napsack which contained the sum of $5000 in cash."

"The second robbery occurred on Saturday night. Sometime after 7:40pm Ezekiel Miranda and another friend of his were inside of Latino's Barbershop which is located at Number 114 Cemetery Road. And whist inside of the barbershop they were approached by two male persons of dark complexions. One who was armed with a firearm. The male persons demanded for them to hand over their belongings and as a result handed over a wallet containing $300 in cash and personal documents and the other person handed over $10 in cash."

In the case of the Dennis Saragoza robbery, he is a subcontractor with Cisco Construction and the cash was to be used to pay other workers.
