Felix Brothers Bailed on Third Attempt
posted (January 21, 2019)
The brothers 32-year-old Emory and 34 year-old Maurice Felix have been trying to get bail for murder for months now and they were finally successful today.

Today in the Belmopan Supreme Court Justice Antoinette Moore granted them bail for a murder and attempted murder which occurred in 2015. In their third attempt at it - they were granted bail of $20,000 dollars. We don't know for sure if they met that bail, but it was granted with stringent conditions where land documents must be presented and they were place on curfew, among many other requirements. The brothers must also report to the Racoon Street Police Station twice a week.

Prosecutor in the case for the DPP's office was Sherigne Rodriguez who had no objection to the men being granted bail this time.

Police are on high alert because their return to society could trigger gang retaliation from rival groups.

The Felix brothers are charged with the murder of Mark Gentle which occurred on June 5, 2015, and the attempted murder of Gentle's mother, Pamela Cumberbatch, who died in an accident.
