"On Tuesday, sometime around midday, Independence police responded to the report of a child at the Independence Polyclinic where upon arrival they saw a male child, later identified as Christopher Daniel Cruz, motionless and appeared to be dead. Initial police investigation revealed that Gisele Osgalla along with her one year old child was at home and she was washing and left the child in the company of one Nestor Cruz. When she began looking for the child sometime around 11:15am she found the child in a shallow pond in the yard, motionless. As a result the body was transported to the Independence Polyclinic where he was confirmed to be dead."
