Further up the coast, in Mexico those winds felled tree and caused a scare at maritime ports. Cold Front No. 31 landed in the Cancun, Playa del Carmen region Sunday afternoon with winds of 40 miles per hour.

The cold front lasted only about an hour-and-a-half and toppled lampposts and trees.
