You're probably asking, what's with that very cold squall that swept across Belize yesterday evening aorund 5:30. Well, it's a fast moving cold fornt, but an intense one that looked like a winter ghurricane all along the Yucatan Peninsula. Here is some footage form sartenaje where the waves were wild with winds of about 25 miles per hour.
Further up the coast, in Mexico those winds felled tree and caused a scare at maritime ports.
Cold Front No. 31 landed in the Cancun, Playa del Carmen region Sunday afternoon with winds of 40 miles per hour.
The cold front lasted only about an hour-and-a-half and toppled lampposts and trees.
