A father of 5 was killed last night in a Punta Gorda shooting that could provoke more trouble for the quiet Southern community. Jordy Flores had been shot before - and it was clear that he was marked for death. And last night the 30 year old was executed at his home.

"I can tell you that at around 6:55 pm yesterday the police received information of a shooting incident on West Street where one person was shot and was transported to the Punta Gorda Hospital."
Flores is known to police and this is not the first time someone has tried to kill him, so PG police have already began rounding up suspects…

"In terms of any leads that the police have - any detainees. Can you tell us about that?"
Insp. Reyes - Deputy OC, Toledo
"Yes we have three persons in custody and we're looking for one more person who can assist us in this investigation."
Reporter:
"Do the police have any potential motives at this point?"

"Not at this time."
In the aftermath of his death, most of Flores' family is doing their best to remember him fondly and move on…

"Well it's kind of sudden, so you know ih hard, but as you notice the yard full. They have everybody comforting us. Reality kick it when everybody leaves and leaves us alone and then I think it ah get more harder for us."

"He was a good guy, you know. He have fun, he love people, you know. That good to. You have to love people. Life is real right. Everybody, everybody, you noh have to worry about nothing. Rest the man in peace and everybody stay strong."
Not everyone is taking his death so calmly however. Some of his closest friends and relatives are dissatisfied with how the cops are handling the investigation and believe preventative measures could have been taking to a avoid this execution…

Certain individuals mih have some meetings Sunday night about killing Jerdy Flores and Adwan Usher, which in the police Department mih know about the meeting and never do nothing about the meeting. Jerdy Flores get gunned down last night."
"I just want mek the PG people know that the department, the Punta Gorda Department deh with bad man. Deh di plan things with badman fi do we things and we noh di do nobody nothing. Yo undastand me? All weh I have to tell the PG people. This no done yet."
Now, as tensions run high, police have set up extra patrols in the area in an attempt to ensure the safety of the residents.
