posted (January 31, 2019)

Yesterday we told you about the murder of Punta Gorda resident, Jerdy Flores. Several attempts have been made on Flores' life in the past, so police were able to quickly track down a list of suspects and are now trying to investigate the motive. The cops gave us an update into the investigation earlier today...

Initial police investigation revealed that sometime around 6:15 pm whilst the deceased was at home he was visited by a male person on a bicycle who shouted for him and as a result he came out of his house and that was when he was fired upon by this person, who then there after rode on a bicycle. "Sir, Mr. Flores, this is not the first time an attempt on his life has been made. Any connection?"

ACP Joseph Myvette
"No it hasn't been, I believe there have been two other attempts prior to this one."

Reporter
"Is he somebody known to be involved in drugs?"

ACP Joseph Myvette
"Well I will go as far as to say that he is known to police and has been searched many times."

Reporter
"Sir, given his history, is there any fear of potential retaliation."

ACP Joseph Myvette
"Well, that two is being looked at, however strategies have already been put in place to address issues like that."

Flores’s affiliates have threatened retaliation - in what townspeople tell us is a battle for turf.
