Old Beef Leads to Lord's Bank Chopping
posted (February 8, 2019)

So, while police suspect that that Gonzalez was targeted by someone he had a dispute with in Buena Vista Village, they say that they are sure that 44 year-old Enrique Pandy was chopped yesterday by someone with whom he had old beef.

Pandy, a resident of Lords Bank, told police that he was riding his bike yesterday evening, when a man stopped him and started an argument. Assistant Superintendent Cowo told us that this assailant then pulled a machete and chop Gonzalez several times, almost several times to the body, and almost severed his left index finger.

Here are a few more details about this case:

ASP Alejandro Cowo - OC, CIB Belize City
"Yesterday at about 7:35 p.m., Ladyville police responded to a fight at Cerossi Street in the Lords Bank area, Ladyville Village, where they met Mr. Enrique Pandy, a 44 year-old Belizean from that area, who police observed to have several chop wounds to his body. What the police gathered so far from him was that he was riding his bicycle, when he was approached by a male person who he knows. Some argument ensued between them, and thereafter, this male person pulled out a machete, and inflicted the injuries to him. He was transported to the hospital, where he is still admitted, as his left index finger was almost severed."

Reporter
"So you all are looking for this person?"
