Tonight, three men have been charged for those big guns police busted in Benque Viejo on Sunday morning. 34 year old Belizean, Edgar Giovanni De La O, 26 year old Guatemalan, Jorge Luis Reyes Villeda, and a 17 year old minor were jointly charged for (2) counts of "Kept Prohibited Firearm" jointly for (2) counts of Kept "Prohibited Ammunition".
As we told you last night, two of the them were in a Range Rover with a pair of AK 47 rifles and ammunition inside - while the other accused caught in a struggle with police outside the Rover - which he was allegedly trying to drive off.
The firearms are prohibited, so remand to prison is automatic.
The Range Rover with Guatemalan plates - entered Belize on February 7th and they were arrested on the 10th.
