posted (February 12, 2019)
Last week, we told you how a contingent of Belizean table tennis athletes headed to Cancun, Mexico to compete in the Central American U-15 and U-18 Table Tennis Championships.

Well they've returned, and they did not not come back empty handed. The Table Tennis Association reports that Belize's Taye Parkinson and Devesh Hukmani came in third in the U-15 Doubles Competition.

They won the bronze medal, but Team Belize didn't get any medals in the other categories. In the team competition, Belize came very close to a second bronze medal, but they were edged out by Costa Rica.

The Association says, quote, "We congratulate our entire team on a very good competition and performance by all the players." End Quote.
