Imposter Cops Plea
posted (February 25, 2019)
24 year-old Dorian Blair and 41 year-old Barrington Slusher, two men who were caught pretending to be police officers, are spending their first night of a 1-year prison sentence. These two men have pleaded guilty to the offense of pretense of an officer.

The incident occurred back on April 19th, 2017 at Public's Supermarket at mile 2 on the George Price Highway. At around 4:30 that day, the security guard spotted 2 men dressed in police uniforms standing on at the front entrance of the supermarket, and they appeared to be on some sort of official security detail. The security guard alerted the real police - who immediately searched them and detained them for impersonating a police officer.

They were charged, and when they were arraigned in April 2017, they pleaded not guilty. Well today, when the case was called up for adjournment before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson, the men changed their plea and told the court that they were guilty as charged. The Magistrate then sentenced both of them to serve 1 year in jail for the offense.

Viewers will remember that since 2016, there have been several cases that have made the evening news where civilians were robbed by persons dressed in police uniforms, pretending that they were legitimate officers.
