Bludgeoned Business Owner Showing Signs of Recovery

Continuing now with the depressing spate of crime news from the south, we have court details on the men charged for that aggravated burglary in Hopkins village.

The two accused men 23 year old Steve Crawford and 20 year old Carrell Sanchez, appeared in Belize City court today. They are Belize City residents and were charged with aggravated burglary, theft and handling stolen goods. They were denied bail and remanded to prison until May 30, 2019.

And, in other crime news from the south….

Earlier on we told you how one victim of southern violence, Edward Conorquie had died at the KHMH. In other, slightly more encouraging news from the KHMH - a Chinese woman who was bludgeouned with a hammer at a gameshop in independence village has reportedly come out of a coma.

Yue Ping Liu and two others were brutally bludgeoned at the game shop 6 days ago An amount of undisclosed of cash was stolen from the business. She was Brought to Belize City for her injuries and was in a coma. A member of the Chinese community tells us that she has now woken up. We'll have an update on her condition later this week.
