Attorney General Michael Peyrefitte recently spoke about PUP operatives who infiltrated the Vital Stats unit. But tonight there is cell phone video of a UDP secretariat messenger, Michael Flowers in a backroom at vital stats - suggesting that UDP operatives are also inside the office.
The video aired on the PUP's VIBES TV this morning, and a release from the Attorney General's Ministry tonight lashes out at them. It says that the AG's office, quote, "condemns the actions taken by Vibes Media to diminish the...efforts of the Government…to improve the service…at the Vital Statistics Unit and to mislead the people of Belize." End quote.
The release adds, quote, "the video shared on Vibes Media on February 27, 2019 existed prior to steps being taken by the Government to improve the quality of work of the Unit by placing the Unit under the control and governance of the Attorney General's Ministry.
Furthermore...the Government has already taken the necessary corrective actions to terminate those involved in such misconduct."
