We all know how strapped the government is - and today we saw an ad in the papers which shows that they are looking for creative ways to generate income. And that means selling a narco-plane which was found. Â
It's a British Aerospace 125 700 - commonly known as the Hawker Siddeley 125, which the narcos left abandoned on the Progresso Road in April of last year. Â
Today an ad in the paper says, the government is inviting tenders for the purchase of the plane. The ad states, “the aircraft will be sold as is, where is.â€Â It can be viewed by appointment and tender should be submitted to the Financial Secretary on a week’s time. Â
A jet like this has a value in the hundreds of thousands of US dollars - but this one has no records, so it would be far less. It is also considered to be airworthy since it was flown form Progresso to the Williamson Hangar where it is now parked. Â
